The very talented artist Kat Rohrbacher will unveil her latest work, a collection of charcoal and line drawings titled “Memento Mori,” on June 28th in her hometown of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The subjects of her drawings are all 164 people whose photos appeared on the obituary page of Fort Wayne newspapers during April of 2007. I’m currently in the process of helping her get the word out about the show to the general populace in Fort Wayne, as I’m sure friends and family of those depicted will be interested in viewing it. It will be on display at the SOMA Gallery in Fort Wayne from June 28 through July 10, by appointment.
